Sussex sun

What a super days beating! One of the shoots that I attend in Sussex was on today and the sunshine attended too. The most amazing thing is that over the many years that I've been beating at this shoot it seems always to be sunny. Despite the sun the pheasants flow very well.
One of the beaters had their birthday today. Having been out last night they were next to useless in the beating line!
By lunch time the required bag had been reached so the two afternoon drives allowed the beating team a more relaxed time.
The day done I said cheerio to all and left the birthday beater to their hangover and the joy of working on it further tonight.
